Friday Aug 30th: Australia Zoo Platinum Adventure

Today I went to the Australia Zoo to experience the "Platinum Adventure" tour.
For an outsider it may sound a lot of money, but eventually it's actually worth it!
Everything The Australia Zoo, the Wildlife Hospital, the Wildlife Warriors, the volunteers caring for the little joey kangaroos etc. They are doing a wonderfull and a fantastic job.
The wildlife is already in danger and without these people and other people trying to protect wildlife, the wildlife would be in (double if not in triple red) serious danger. I do believe that we (humanity) actually need the wildlife to be able to survive, and one of the most important animals are bees, because without the bees, the plants and trees will die. Without the plants and trees to provide food for animals and us, the animals and we will starve and die.
Anyway, enough with this little text, let's see some amazing pictures. Some are taken by a professional photographer at the zoo. Thank you for these amazing photo's.

(like always, feel free to add comments below. this is going to be a long post because of the beautiful pictures I don't want them smaller on here, still waiting for a few pictures to receive though)

First thing first, let's go for a walk with a tiger on this beautiful day.

Next I met Ella who would be my personal tour guide for the rest of the day.
Before we went to the Wildlife Hospital, they came with beautiful barking owl "Nuebi".
Who I actually adopted twice. (you can adopt several animals by clicking this link)

There was also a koala:

At the Wildlife hospital it was actually pretty quite, but on the way back out, they were examining a koala.
At the entry of the hospital there was a volunteer sitting with 6 joey kangaroos to be examined on how they were doing. The volunteer had 11 more joey kangaroos at her home to be taken care off (being feeded).

On the way to the next encounter, we passed some rhinos and zebras

Next up was to meet some (6) meerkats, 4 of them are sisters, they are really cute and funny actually.

If I'm not mistaken we went to feed some kangaroos now:

(thanks for those pictures Ella)

Next was a meeting with serveral animals at the same time:

When asked which one I wanted to hold again for the groups-photo, I chose the snake instead of any of the other ones, and the reaction of the caretaker was funny. Because apparently most of the time they (other visitors) choose to go for the soft koala. So the reaction of the caretaker of the snake was something like: "Yes, finally won one". πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ (I was happy to give the snake a win 😜)

Next a picture with the Irwin family statue

Next some more animals, The show at the Crocoseum (view from the VIP section), and some more animals on the way to the next meet.

I personally would like to ask to help make a difference. Please help make a difference by for example signing the following Petition: Stop the Harvesting of Crocodile Eggs

Help, Cameron the crocodile is going to eat me... 😝

So the next meet was with the Tortise:

Next was lunch

Next up is meeting some Dingo's

And next is a Rhino:

A little walk between kangaroos and some wallaby's before the next and last encounter:

Next encounter, the Echidna:

We were able to spot a joey kangaroo getting into his/her mothers pouch:

Before we went to visit Bindi's Island:

Just sunning in the sun

Can you spot the small crocodile?

And to end the day after a little bit of shopping,
a picture with my tour guide Ella:

Many thanks to:
*Ella for the great and amazing tour,
*photographer Anita for the amazing pictures,
*the other photographers for the few extra pictures,
*Australia Zoo (and their +400 staff) for there dedication in helping these animals and help educating people about these wonderfull animals,
*the Wildlife Warriors for all what they do to help wildlife animals,
*the Wildlife Hospital to try and safe all those Wildlife animals,
*any volunteers to help where they can,
*everyone who visit the zoo, everyone who donates to the zoo and to the wildlife warriors etc
*and anyone else I've forgotten.
*But last but certainly not the least:
Thank you to the Irwin family who are continuing Steve Irwin's passion of wildlife and wildlife conservation.
Without you (and for sure diffinitly without STEVE IRWIN), none of this would exist!

Thank you all for everything you do!

I've really enjoyed it. A really unique experience.
